Yudhishtira Kruta Durga Stotra

Yudhishtira, the eldest of the pandava brothers, contemplated on goddess durga in his mind and praised her with a hymn before entering the Virata Nagara. This is recorded in the sixth chapter of Virata parva of Mahabharata.

The goddess pleased by the hymn, appeared before yudhishtira and blessed him that he will soon attain victory in war against kauravas and regain his throne. One who listens to or recites this great hymn with devotion, all his works (activities) will attain success, accomplishment, perfection. He and his brothers won’t be indentified by kauravas or by the dwellers of virata city.

Chanting this hymn with devotion and remembering goddess durga and her glory grants us protection, strength, god health, wealth,

The goddess herself says to Pandavas that those who remember me, in the same way as I was remembered by you. For them there is nothing very hard to attain or obtain in this world and in the after-world. one who listens to or recites this great hymn with devotion, all his works (activities) will attain success, accomplishment, perfection. I grant them kingdom, longevity, healthy body, and progeny.
