These names indicate the glories of goddess manasa, where possible I have cited shlokas from brahmavaivarta purana to further explain the meaning of the verses. The phalashruti says that chanting this hymn grants protection from snakes to the devotee, by chanting this regularly and perfecting the hymn by chanting it a million times, the devotee will become immune to weapons and poisons, snakes free on seeing him, he can subdue snakes and make them serve him and use them as ornaments, bed, seat etc. a devotee who perfects this hymn shall become a great siddha who has mastery over snakes, yogic powers.
