Twenty Five Names of Lalita From Brahmanda Purana

These Twenty five epithets of goddess lalitā parā bhattārika was initiated by lord Hayagreeva (the horse necked incarnation of lord Vishnu who learnt the path of srividyā and perfected it under the direct guidance of Devi.) to sage Agastya upon his polite request.

These epithets are found in the eleventh chapter of Lalitopākhyāna which is a part of Brahmānda Mahā Purāna.

This book is an effort to shed light on the deeper interpretation of meanings of the epithet based on various commentaries like saubhāgya bhāskara of bhāskara rāya makhin and Jayamangala of Bhatta Nārāyana and ancient Sanskrit lexicons like shadba kalpadruma and vācaspatya.
