 Description:

Lalita Pancharatnam is composed in five gem like shlokas. It is also known as Lalita Pratah smaranam

Our sacred scriptures instruct us to start our day by remembering the supreme reality who is non dual to our real self. One can worship that supreme god in any of the forms like Shiva, Vishnu, Shakti, Ganesha, Surya etc.

Through this hymn, that supreme reality is prayed to in the form of goddess Lalita in five shlokas.

We visualize the divine appearance of goddess Lalita, and that form has a deeper philosophical significance.
Shankara describes the goddess briefly from head to feet in this hymn.

In the first shloka Acharya shankara describes the face of the goddess, in the second shloka he sings the glory of her arms, in the third shloka, he describes the greatness of her holy feet, in the fourth shloka he glorifies her supremacy and authority, and in the fifth shloka he praises her by chanting her names and in the sixth shloka he states what all will goddess lalita grant, pleased by the chant of this hymn.

the phalashruti states that one who recites these five shlokas of mother goddess lalitā that grants good fortune and is comprised of very lovely and tender verses, in the dawn, to him goddess lalitā having become gracious instantly, grants, knowledge, wealth, flawless happiness and endless glory.
